The Director General of the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC) Dr. Kodjo Essiem Mensah-Abrampa, has passed away.
According to reports, the renowned development planner and economist died at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital on Monday, July 1, 2024.
Family sources say Dr Mensah-Abrampa was rushed to the health facility after a suspected heart attack in the early hours of Monday.
However, doctors pronounced the former lecturer dead upon arrival.
Tributes have been pouring in from all over the world for the former World Bank and UN worker, including government, academia, and the development community.
As the Director General of the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC), Mensah-Abrampa played a pivotal role in shaping Ghana’s development agenda.
