Ghana’s leading anti-malarial medicine, Lufart, has been adjudged the Pharmaceutical Product of the Year at the Ghana International Products Awards held at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra.
The Ghana International Products Awards is the largest consumer-reviews based awards in Ghana that guides consumers to the best products by a nationally representative review of 40,000 consumers in Ghana and beyond.

The survey is designed to evaluate product innovation on several criteria, including product appeal, satisfaction, advocacy, purchase interest, uniqueness, relevance and excitement. The awards event serves therefore as a platform to honour, acknowledge and award excellence in innovation, as well as the notable contributions made by key market players to boost Ghana's economy.
The theme for this year's Ghana International Products Awards was "Discovering the Best of the Best."
Attendees from various Ghanaian companies gathered at the renowned Movenpick Ambassador Hotel for the event, which honoured and acknowledged manufacturers, distributors, retailers and outstanding products.
The Deputy CEO of the Ghana Export Promotion Authority, Mr. Samuel Kofi Dentu, addressing the attendees, noted that "our nation has consistently demonstrated its ability to create products that challenge and elevate our lives", adding that the awards should boost the confidence of the awardees in knowing their performance is being tracked.

Lufart, the winner of the prestigious award -Pharmaceutical Product of the Year- is a flagship antimalarial medicine manufactured by Entrance Pharmaceuticals and Research Centre. It is marketed and distributed by Tobinco Pharmaceuticals Limited, both under the ownership and leadership of Elder Dr Nana Amo Tobbin I.

Commenting on the award, a Managing Director of Tobinco Pharmaceuticals Limited, Dr. Christopher Mensah, said winning the Pharmaceutical Product of the Year is evidence of customers and consumers' satisfaction with the quality and efficacy of Lufart.
