Ghana's premium Petroleum Haulage Company, J. K Horgle and Co. Limited has been crowned Ghana's Most Outstanding Transport Company of the Year Award at the just-ended maiden edition of the Ghana Downstream Awards and Gala Night held at the luxurious Alisa Hotel at North Ridge, Accra.
On the same night, the Group CEO of J. K Horgle Transport Company, Joseph K. Horgle received a special recognition award for his outstanding efforts as a pioneer in the haulage of petroleum products across the country.
The tremendous awards signify his stunning leadership qualities and exceptional dedication to providing quality transport systems for the petroleum industry, and for being a respected personality advocating for best business practices in the sector.
The Downstream Gala and Awards Night is a pioneering awards scheme designed to promote compliance within the petroleum industry and acknowledge individual and institutional contributions to the growth and sustainability of the sector. By recognizing excellence across the downstream value chain, the event aims to inspire higher standards and continuous improvement within the industry.

The event was a climax to the 2024 Ghana International Petroleum Conference (GHiPCon) held on 17th- 18th July, organised by the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) in collaboration with the Chamber of Bulk Oil Distribution (CBOD) and the Association of Oil and Marketing Companies (AOMC).
Under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy, all the industry stakeholders were brought together to connect and pull resources from each other and also celebrate and promote a high level of ethics within the sector.
Speaking to the media after receiving the award, Joseph K. Horgle was extremely grateful for the recognition.

According to him, the award reflects the company's unwavering focus on meeting and exceeding customer expectations while adhering to rigorous quality standards over the years.
“I am indeed grateful for this recognition. I started from a humble beginning in 1976 but now, I am extremely overwhelmed with this great achievement over the years. I dedicate this to my staff and cherished clients across the country ", he said.
