Players in the Ghanaian insurance industry last Saturday gathered at Labadi Beach Hotel for the seventh edition of the Ghana Insurance Awards (GIA) which seeks to celebrate the achievements of individuals and companies that have distinguished themselves in the industry in the year under review.
The Ghana Insurance Awards is done by Xodus Communications Limited, organizers of Forty Under 40 Ghana, Forty Under 40 Africa, Forty Under 40 UK, Forty Under 40 Global, Ghana Oil and Gas Awards, Ghana Manufacturing Awards, Ghana Auto Awards and many more.
The GIA has, since its inception in 2018, sought to promote the growth of the insurance industry through progressive competition, innovation, and adherence to the highest professional standards.

In all, 18 companies and 4 individuals were honoured at the 2024 edition of the ceremony.

In his welcome remarks, Chief Executive Officer of Xodus Communications, Richard Abbey Junior said, the winners were selected by an independent advisory board who evaluated the awardees based on the criteria listed for each category.
He added that the Awards is an annual ceremony to celebrate achievements and standards in the insurance industry. The Awards Night provides a spectacular occasion for insurance industry players to come together to celebrate and network while rewarding achievements and leadership in various key areas.
The Awards cut across categories for life and non-life companies, re-insurers, brokerage firms, and other intermediaries, health insurers, actuarial firms, and other insurance service providers.

He noted that the technical committee and the awarding board have always been guided by reports of the National Insurance Commission, the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), and the entries provided by nominees.

“Xodus Communications Limited is undergoing ISO Certifications because of its international reputation. Annually, the GIA winners are carefully selected by the Jury. We are happy to have PayAngel as our proud sponsor.
