Wilmar Africa Limited, a subsidiary of Wilmar International headquartered in Singapore, was recognised with three awards at the 4th edition of the National Governance and Business Leadership Awards (NGBLA) 2024.
The event, held on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at the Marriott Hotel in Accra, celebrated the company's outstanding contributions to the FMCG industry.
The awards program, developed by The Governance & Business Boardroom and The Boardroom Magazine, aims to champion and celebrate good corporate governance, leadership, and economic empowerment in Ghana.

The Head of Human Resources, Administration, and Corporate Affairs, Solomon Ohene-Owusu, along with the HR team, received honours in the following categories:
- HR Personality of the Year (FMCG)
- Exemplary HR Business Leader of the Year (named among the top 30 exemplary HR business leaders in Ghana 2023)
- Outstanding HR Team of Excellence Award (FMCG Gold) for the second consecutive year.
Under Mr. Ohene-Owusu's leadership, the HR team has excelled in delivering strategic HR solutions, fostering an inclusive workplace culture, and enhancing employee engagement.

This has led to significant improvements in talent development, employee experience, and organisational effectiveness, positioning Wilmar as an employer of choice.
In his remarks, Mr. Ohene-Owusu acknowledged the dedication, innovative spirit, and hard work of every team member.
