Black Stars midfielder Mohammed Kudus questionned NDC's activist Frank Kwaku Appiah, popularly known as Appiah Stadium, at Prempeh I International Airport.
The West Ham United forward who appeared frustrated by the incessant flak from Mr Appiah could not hold on anymore and responded during a photo session with Airport staff.
The incident, which occurred as the national team prepared to depart for Morocco for their Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Niger, was captured on video and posted on social media platform, Tik Tok.
In the video which has since gone viral, Kudus initially tried to ignore the remarks, continuing to interact with fans.
Appiah kept tapping on him while saying, "you score goals abroad, but when you come here, you don't score."
After enduring this repeated criticism, he responded, asking Appiah Stadium, "Do you need the goals more than I do?"
His question drew laughter from bystanders as Kudus left and rejoined his teammates to depart to Morocco for the crucial game.
In a separate video, Appiah Stadium is seen praising Jordan Ayew but urging him to smile more during matches.
The Black Stars will face Niger on Monday, 9th September, in their second game of the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Ghana lost their opening match 1-0 to Angola at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
