Can prayer move the hand of God and change the cause of humanity?
The presiding Archbishop and General Overseer of Action Chapel International, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, has declared a “Season of Timely Intervention,” calling on believers worldwide to rise up in prayer.
On September 8, the Archbishop shared a prophetic word with his congregation while delivering a sermon.
"I have a prophetic word that I want to release to the nations of the world, and the message is: Timely Intervention. I want to believe that God will help us experience timely interventions in our lives and in the affairs of our country and other nations.”
Why the declaration?
"The Season of Timely Intervention, which follows the Year of Open Doors, shifts the focus from merely recognizing and walking through opportunities to experiencing divine help. This also aligns with the Jewish calendar, which begins around September each year," he explained.
“We are living in perilous times, but if we can unite in prayer and call on the Almighty, He will intervene."
As the year draws to a close, elections approaching in several nations, including Ghana, conflicts escalating in various regions, a troubling rise in depression, suicide and mental health challenges, particularly among the youth, there is the need to pray. In response to these pressing issues, Action Chapel International will be hosting a series of transformative programs in the final quarter of the year, calling the global body of Christ to prayer and intercession. These prayer meetings including the Altar of Atonement Prayer Encounter, All Believers and Youth All-Night Prayer, will see the body of Christ coming together to intercede for families, the global community and the younger generation.
Altar of Atonement Prayer Encounter
Expected to take place on October 12, this special prayer meeting which marks the sacred Day of Atonement—Yom Kippur, will bring men and women from all denominations to one place—the Prayer Cathedral—to intercede for the upcoming elections and break the strongholds of suicidal spirits and mental attacks affecting families and communities.
All Believers and Youth All-Night

Dedicated to the younger generation, this special all-night fellowship is set for November 15. This gathering will focus on prayer for the mental health, well-being and the future of the nation’s youth.
Impact Convention and the Kairos Experience
Regular fixtures on the Church’s calendar, these are arguably Ghana’s most anticipated Christian events, drawing thousands of believers every year.
Over the years, participants have shared testimonies of the positive impact these spiritual gatherings have had on their lives, with many returning year after year to be part of the experience.
With the Impact Convention scheduled for November 24 to December 1 and the Kairos Experience from December 30 to January 1, 2025, there's no doubt that these spirit-filled events will live up to their billing once again.
