Former Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Yaw Adomako Baafi has warned against violence being perpetrated against some supporters of the party.
It comes after alleged assault of the Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party in the Ejura Constituency, Abdul Rahman Hudu by a co-panelist, Osman Abubakari Sadiq of NDC on live radio.
Mr. Baafi, says the NPP has taken notice of pockets of violence being perpetrated in some constituencies against NPP members.

“We are not in a brutish state. It is about the law, so the law will take its due course. But as I rightly said, there is a limit to human endurance”, he said.
The Former Communications Officer further added, “it is becoming one too many. We have been accommodating this kind of reckless and irresponsible act. If they keep on doing that I am afraid they will realize that they brought their battle into our field.”
A video in circulation captures the NPP Youth Organiser attempting to defend himself after being attacked by a co-panelist of the National Democratic Congress, Osman Abubakari Sadiq.
The NPP Youth Organiser for Ejura, Abdul Rahman Hudu, claims the co-panelist used a pen to inflict a wound in his face.
Speaking to JoyNews, he claims to have been punched in the face and parts of the body. He further alleged the suspect hit his back with an object, a pain he continues to endure.
Abdul refused to grant a recorded interview but says he is pained all over the body.
Adomako Baafi wants party members to restrain from reprisal attacks as the law enforcement agencies move to resolve the present issue.
He believes the peace council and other organizations will have to move in to ensure sanity.
“I will appeal to the National Peace Council, clergy, chief imam and all who matter, we don’t want such a state to happen. We all need to condemn it and the law must take its due course”, he stated.
Meanwhile, the suspect was invited by the police on Saturday for a statement to be taken as part of investigations.
JoyNews sources reveal the police at the Ashanti Regional Command are moving in to take over the matter.
