Ghanaian defender Joseph Aidoo was in action for Celta Vigo in their dominant 7-0 away victory over Unionistas de Salamanca CF in the second round of the 2024/25 Spanish Copa del Rey.
Aidoo made a return to the squad after being on the sidelines for several months due to an injury he sustained and eventually, kept him out of Ghana’s AFCON qualifiers.
His performance on the day showed why Celta placed full confidence in him following his recovery.
The defender had a perfect outing on the day, making 2 tackles, 1shot blocked and 1 clearance to his credit. With the win, Celta Vigo has secured a spot in the next round of the competition.
