As the festive season approaches, Zenith Bank Ghana has once again demonstrated its commitment to excellence and community development. The bank’s annual Light-Up Ceremony and Carols Night, held at Zenith Heights and the Kotoka International Airport Enclave, was a testament to its dedication to spreading joy and hope during the holiday season.
Speaking during the Carol’s Night at the bank’s Head office at Ridge in Accra Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank Mr. Henry Onwuzurigbo said the Light-Up Ceremony is more than just a festive tradition but rather symbolizes the bank’s resilience and commitment to its customers and the community. “As we light up Zenith Heights and the Kotoka international Airport enclave tonight, let these lights serve as a symbol of hope, unity, and the promise of a brighter tomorrow,” he said.
Despite the challenges faced by the banking industry in 2024, Zenith Bank Ghana has continued to demonstrate its strength and stability. The bank's financial performance has been impressive, with a 56% growth in total customer deposits, from GH¢10.2 billion in September 2023 to GH¢15.9 billion in September 2024. Net loans and advances also increased by 62%, from GH¢2 billion in September 2023 to GH¢3.3 billion in September 2024.
The bank's commitment to financial inclusion and community development has also been evident in its strategic partnerships and initiatives.

For instance, its partnership with the African Guarantee Fund and Development Bank Ghana has resulted in the disbursement of approximately GH¢202,790,000 in loans to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and women-owned businesses.
Zenith Bank Ghana’s dedication to innovation and excellence has earned it numerous awards and recognition. Some of its notable awards include Bank of the Year Ghana at the 2024 Banker Awards, Best Bank (Ghana) and Best SME Partner Bank at The European Awards, and Technology-Driven Bank of the Year at the Ghana Information Technology and Telecom Awards.
The bank's commitment to community development has also been evident in its corporate social responsibility initiatives. For instance, it has provided laptops and desktop computers to institutions such as the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and Ho Technical University. The bank has also provided protective shoes to 1,000 underprivileged children in October this year
