Head coach Didi Dramani remains confident in Ghana’s chances against Nigeria ahead of the second leg of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers.
The Black Galaxies played out a goalless draw with Super Eagles B team in the first encounter on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The outcome means Ghana must beat Nigeria in Uyo to secure a slot at the continental event.
"From what we all saw, they [Nigeria] try to sit back and then go on the transition and when you play against a team like that, it is even more dangerous because you continuously move forward and then there will be space behind,” Didi told AFA Sports.
“We were also cautious not to concede because it's important that when the game is barren, it is still an open game.
"We are very positive that from our display, we are good on the ball, we are good in taking spaces, they are good in making the transitions. We [should] try to avoid this [Nigeria transitions] and then take the right moments.
The second leg takes place on December 28 at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.
The winner will qualify for the 2025 CHAN tournament, which is set to be hosted jointly by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
