Management of telecom giant MTN has put smiles on the faces of some newborns and their mothers by donating baby items worth thousands of cedis to two district hospitals in the Savannah Region.
The beneficiary hospitals include Saint Anne Catholic and Salaga Hospitals in Damongo and Salaga, respectively.

The items include 12 boxes of baby materials to Saint Anne Catholic Hospital and 10 boxes of baby diapers, towels, and oil to Salaga Hospital. The rest are baby wipes, detergents, and powder, pomade, and dolls, cotton buds, among others.

In doing the presentation, the Savannah Region MTN Territory Sales Controller, Abugbilla Matthew, told journalists that the organization is reaching out to all aspects of society, hence the donations.
"This is what we, MTN, do best every year by reaching out to critical parts of society, and so this year is crucial to us as giants of the telecom industry.

"As you may know, the two hospitals were considered through due diligence and some needs assessment, and we hope the items will provide the desired impact," Mr Abugbilla indicated.

He said with the building of a new regional office in Damongo in the Savannah Region, the network will expand to enhance quality and effective mobile communication and data connectivity in the Savannah Region and its environs.
