The leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has written to inform the Clerk of Parliament of its selected leaders for the incoming minority caucus in the Ninth Parliament of the Republic of Ghana.
In a letter dated Friday, January 3, and endorsed by the party’s General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, the party said the selected members will occupy the minority front bench in the new parliament.
The appointed leaders are as follows:
- Minority Leader: Hon. Alexander Afenyo-Markin, MP for Effutu
- Deputy Minority Leader: Hon. Patricia Appiagyei, MP for Asokwa
- Minority Chief Whip: Hon. Frank Annoh Dompreh, MP for Nsawam/Adoagyiri
- First Deputy Minority Whip: Hon. Habib Idrisu, MP for Tolon
- Second Deputy Minority Whip: Hon. Jerry Ahmed Shaib, MP for Weija Gbawe.
