The Chairman of the Operation Recover All Loot team, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has disclosed that the team has amassed compelling evidence of looted state assets linked to appointees of the previous administration.
The North Tongu MP revealed that the gathered evidence will soon be submitted to President John Dramani Mahama for decisive action.
Weeks earlier, President Mahama formed the high-powered investigative team comprising Ablakwa, Nathan Kofi Boakye, Martin Kpebu, Raymond Archer, and Daniel Domelevo.
The team was tasked with investigating and documenting instances of state capture and asset misappropriation.
Speaking to journalists in the Eastern Region, Ablakwa praised the team’s progress and emphasized their commitment to justice.
“We will not disclose the nature of our achievements until we have presented our report to His Excellency the President,” Mr Ablakwa stated.
“When we present our report, the Ghanaian people will see the tremendous work that has gone on—the extent of the loot and how all of us have worked successfully to ensure the evidence is coordinated for action by our attorney general and other institutions.”
Mr Ablakwa’s remarks reflect the team’s determination to ensure that misappropriated state resources are reclaimed and those responsible are held accountable.
The findings, expected to be presented in the coming weeks, will shine a spotlight on the alleged scale of malfeasance under the previous government.
The Operation Recover All Loot initiative represents a critical step in President Mahama’s administration’s broader agenda to strengthen governance, uphold accountability, and restore public trust in state institutions.
