The Black Satellites have been handed a tricky draw for the 2025 CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) to be staged in Cote d'Ivoire.
Ghana's U-20 side was drawn in Group A in the procedure which happened on Thursday, February 13. Desmond Ofei's boys will come up against hosts, Cote'Ivoire in their group.
The Black Satellites are also joined by Tanzania and the Democratic Republic of Congo while they are also awaiting a second team from the UNIFFAC Zonal Union.
The second UNIFFAC Zonal Union team is unknown following Congo’s FIFA suspension.
Group A contains five teams while Groups B and C have four sides each.
In Group B, Nigeria will face competition from Egypt, South Africa and Morocco, while defending champions Senegal will battle with Zambia, Kenya and Sierra Leone.
The tournament is scheduled to commence from April 26 with the final slated for May 18 with 13 teams competing in this year's edition.
The U-20 AFCON will also serve as qualifiers for the 2025 FIFA Under-20 World Cup that will be staged in Chile from September 27 to October 19, 2025.
Ghana sealed a return to the continental stage after finishing second in the WAFU B Qualifiers played in Togo last year.
