AFROSON1C X, a showcase festival and industry conference comprising music, technology and the arts, will be launched in Accra, Ghana, in 2026.
Its mission is to connect African creatives with global opportunities, foster cross-cultural collaborations, and shape the future of the industry in West Africa.
AFROSON1C X is also proud to announce a groundbreaking co-curator partnership with SXSW London, slated for June 2 to June 7, 2025.
The inaugural edition of SXSW London will headline Tems and Idris Elba.
As an official co-curator, AFROSON1C X will
showcase a handpicked lineup of exceptional West African talents, giving these artists a major international platform at SXSW London’s debut edition. This partnership highlights the diverse and rapidly growing West African music scene, bringing fresh, dynamic sounds to new audiences.
Renowned for celebrating the intersection of music, film, and interactive industries, South by Southwest (SXSW) is one of the world’s most influential festivals.
The AFROSON1C X stage will introduce an exciting wave of talent, bridging the gap between Africa and the global music industry.
According to Tom Russell, Founder of AFROSON1C X, commented, “SXSW is the world’s premier industry showcase festival and conference - a firm fixture in the music business calendar for many years. To be named a co-curator for its inaugural London edition is a significant moment for AFROSON1C X.
This partnership cements our commitment to building a thriving music industry in West Africa and sets the stage for our debut festival in Accra in 2026.”
