Nsoatreman FC has officially responded to the death of Asante Kotoko fan Francis Frimpong Pooley, vowing that the "real culprits" will be brought to justice.
Pooley was stabbed to death during the Porcupines' clash with Nsoatreman in Nsoatre on Matchday 19 of Ghana’s top-flight league.
According to Asante Kotoko, police investigations have identified Brimah as the suspect responsible for the murder, and he is currently on the run.
"Life is precious and it is condemnable when life like that of Francis Yaw Frimpong (Nana Pooley) is lost in such a manner," Nsoatreman said in a statement released.
"It is important to state on record that since the said death, management has been assisting the police with investigating the circumstances of the death, and in bringing to justice the person(s) who are accomplice in the death of Nana Pooley.
"It is the believe of management that the real culprits will be brought to book and justice served."
Kotoko, who initially, reiterated their strong stance of not to return to football until perpetrators are punished, expressed their satisfaction with the progress of the investigation into the matter and will play after burial of late fan, slated for March 6.
Meanwhile, the fatal incident led to the suspension of the division as the Ghana FA met with the 18 Premier League clubs to discuss measures to curb such acts.
