Ghanaian singer Kofi Mante has acknowledged Bisa Kdei's influence on the highlife music genre.
In an interview on Daybreak Hitz with Doreen Avio, Kofi Mante credited Bisa Kdei as the inspiration behind the new wave of highlife artiste.
"Bisa Kdei is the inspiration behind most of the highlife that's coming up right now. His style is what every new highlife artiste is doing," Kofi stated.
Kofi Mante further explained that Bisa Kdei's unique approach to highlife music, which incorporates rhyme schemes, has revolutionised the genre.
"But then, the person that really changed the highlife to me that is still now current was Bisa, because he rhymed more in singing highlife. Most highlife singers didn't rhyme more, they repeated lines but still it was more about proverbs," he added.
Kofi Mante's endorsement of Bisa Kdei's influence on highlife music serves as a testament to the power of innovation and creativity in shaping the sound of a generation.
