The Centre for Strategic Philanthropy and Social Investment (CESPSI) of Pentecost University, Philanthropy Ghana, and the Multimedia Group have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to expand the JoyNews Impact Makers Awards and elevate philanthropic storytelling on a global scale.
This partnership aims to broaden the reach of the Impact Makers Awards, enhance global networks, and strengthen the role of media philanthropy. Under the agreement, the three organizations will work together to amplify the voices of philanthropic initiatives and share more impactful stories within the global philanthropy ecosystem.
Speaking at the MoU signing, Apostle Dr. Christian Tsekpoe, Board Chairman of CESPSI, emphasized the significance of this collaboration, urging philanthropic organizations to seize the opportunities it presents. He highlighted the initiative’s potential to create a stronger platform for recognizing and supporting individuals and groups dedicated to community transformation.
“Through this partnership, we aim to project philanthropy in Ghana to the highest level, while securing the best for the people making an impact in their communities”, he added.
The partnership marks a major milestone in empowering countless selfless Ghanaians who work tirelessly to uplift their communities and drive national development. Emefa Atiamoah-Eli, Coordinator for Strategic Partnerships and Projects for the Joy Brands of The Multimedia Group, expressed optimism about the future of the awards scheme, citing the new alliance as a catalyst for even greater impact.

The MoU was signed on behalf of the Multimedia Group by Francis Fiifi Koomson, General Manager of Joy Brands, and Kwaku Owusu-Peprah, Channel Manager for JoyNews. Representing Pentecost University’s CESPSI were Apostle Dr. Christian Tsekpoe, Board Chairman, and Rev. Emmanuel Marfo, Acting Director of CESPSI, while Madam Yayra Atiso, Executive Director of Philanthropy Ghana, signed on behalf of Philanthropy Ghana.
Additionally, the Melton Foundation was present at the ceremony, with Eric Nii Ayentei Odonkor representing the organization as it signed a separate agreement with CESPSI.
As Ghana continues to thrive on the efforts of its philanthropic organizations, this partnership stands as a pivotal step in providing greater visibility, support, and collaboration for changemakers. By telling more inspiring stories and expanding platforms for recognition, the initiative aims to encourage more individuals and organizations to step forward and make a lasting impact.
