The District Court has remanded suspect Samuel Adjei into police custody in connection with a fatal shooting incident that occurred during an enstoolment ceremony at Nungua on Saturday, February 22.
Samuel Adjei was arraigned before the court on Wednesday, February 26, on a charge of murder.

According to preliminary police investigations, the suspect allegedly discharged live ammunition from a single-barrel gun during the traditional ceremony, fatally wounding Naa Borley Ahmed in the right thigh.
She was rushed to the hospital for medical attention but succumbed to her injuries while receiving treatment.
Following his arrest, the suspect was presented before the court, which ruled that he be remanded into police custody.
He is expected to reappear before the court on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.
