President John Mahama has reaffirmed his commitment to addressing the country’s challenges, stating that he prioritises solutions over blame.
Delivering his first State of the Nation Address (SONA) in his second term on Thursday, February 27, in Parliament, he emphasised that his leadership style is focused on action rather than complaints.
“It is not my style to lament and shift blame when confronted with challenges. My approach is to accept challenges and work hard to resolve them. Indeed, this is precisely what the people of Ghana elect me to do," President Mahama stated.
He stressed that his administration would take decisive steps to stabilise the economy and improve the lives of citizens.
The President acknowledged the difficulties facing the country but insisted that dwelling on them would not bring progress.
“I have therefore not come here to lament on the state of our country though there is much to lament about. I understand why I was elected with such high voter confidence, and that is to solve Ghana’s problems," he asserted.
Mr Mahama assured Ghanaians that his government would take a proactive approach to governance, focusing on sustainable solutions.
He called for collective effort and unity to rebuild the nation, promising to implement policies that would restore economic stability and social well-being.
