Kwame Opoku scored a brilliant finish to help Asante Kotoko beat Aduana FC and end their four-game winless run in the Ghana Premier League.
The forward, who started a one-two pass with Baba Yahaya, finished off with a low drive, beating goalkeeper Massawudu Inusah at the near post.
Opoku was also on the end of a one-two with Fernando, but the striker's effort to bend the ball into the far corner let him down.
Kotoko goalkeeper Camara Mohammed made crucial saves to keep the score level.
Kotoko eventually claimed three points and handed new coach Karim Zito a winning start.
Kotoko maintain their fourth position on the table with 50 points as they hope to end the season on a high for the title.
Meanwhile, Aduana sit 11th with 38 points.
Up next for Kotoko is the Super Clash against Hearts of Oak, while Aduana face Berekum Chelsea.
