Afro-Arab Microfinance, a Ghanaian indigenous business and a subsidiary of the Afro-Arab Group of Companies, has been named the Best Microfinance Institution in Ghana at the 2025 Global Banking & Finance Review Awards.
The ceremony in London, United Kingdom, brought together leading voices in international finance to honour excellence, innovation, and commitment within the global financial services industry.
The award recognises Afro-Arab Microfinance’s outstanding contributions to women and youth empowerment across Ghana. The institution has distinguished itself as a catalyst for financial inclusion, delivering accessible micro-lending, entrepreneurial training, and community upliftment initiatives.
Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu, Board Chairman and Founder, expressed heartfelt appreciation for the accolade: “This honour is a reflection of our enduring commitment to empowering women and the youth. It affirms that our efforts are making a tangible difference.”
General Manager Ebenezer Egyir Tetteh underscored the company’s unwavering dedication to transforming underserved communities. “From tailored microloans for women traders to structured mentorship schemes for aspiring young entrepreneurs, we are breaking down barriers to opportunity,” he remarked.
