Scores of people sustained injuries following a multi-vehicle accident at Krofrom, a busy suburb of Kumasi, on Friday evening.
According to eyewitnesses, a cargo truck reportedly suffered brake failure while descending a major traffic intersection near the X5 Pub during a heavy downpour.

The truck ploughed through several cars, motorbikes, and commercial tricycles – locally known as ‘pragya’ – causing widespread panic and destruction.
Concerned passersby forcibly opened mangled vehicles to rescue trapped drivers and passengers. Many of the injured were rushed to nearby health facilities for emergency treatment.

The full extent of the casualties remains unclear, but road users are urged to exercise caution during adverse weather conditions.
