Mohammed Kudus has described West Ham United’s disappointing season as a “growth opportunity” and pledged to help lead a resurgence in the 2025/26 campaign.
The Ghanaian midfielder, who has managed just four Premier League goals this term—half his tally from last season—admits the campaign has fallen short of expectations.
The Hammers, once quarter-finalists in the Europa League, now find themselves teetering just above the relegation zone in what has been a sobering year.
But for Kudus, adversity is not defeat—it is fuel.
"100%, that should be the focus and that should be the standard every season," he told Sky Sports when asked about a potential comeback.
"Like I said, we take a lot of lessons from these down times. Every setback, for me personally, I see it as an opportunity to grow and focus on what is ahead."
Though his future at West Ham remains uncertain—with interest from top European clubs intensifying—his immediate focus remains on finishing the season with dignity and determination.
West Ham's next test comes at Old Trafford on Sunday against Europa League finalists Manchester United—a fitting stage for Kudus to demonstrate how setbacks can shape comebacks.
