King Promise has recounted how he was mocked for losing out on all the seven nominations he once had in the Ghana Music Awards.
During his acceptance speech after he won the Artiste of the Year award at the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs), he urged patrons to take inspiration from his success story.
"I just want to say a big thank you to the best fans in the world. If anyone is watching me right now have a dream, use me as an example of resilience. When I broke out on the scene, I had seven nominations and I left with zero," he said.
"While some people laughed, I just worked harder because I believe in God's timing. Today I am the chosen one," King Promise added.
Last year, he lost out on the Artiste of the Year to Stonebwoy after a fierce competition.
Apart from the Artiste of the Year award, King Promise also took home the Afropop Song of the Year with 'Paris', Best Afrobeats/Afropop Artiste of the Year, and Album of the Year with 'True to Self'at the 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards.
