Ghana midfielder Lawrence Agyekum has signed a four-year contract with Belgian Pro League side Cercle Brugge after a successful loan spell from RB Salzburg.
The 21-year-old featured in 44 matches, scoring twice and providing two assists, impressing the club with his consistency.
Cercle Brugge exercised the purchase option in Agyekum's loan deal, securing his services until 2029.
Agyekum expressed his delight, stating, "It's been a busy season already, but I'm grateful to God for where I am today. I'm happy to stay at Cercle and looking forward to what's next."
The club's Sporting Director Rembert Vromant praised Agyekum's versatility and technical skills, saying, "He's a versatile midfielder with strong technical skills, and he fits perfectly into our playing style. We believe in his continued development."
Agyekum, a WAFA SC product, has one cap for Ghana and recently made his debut for the Black Stars in the World Cup qualifiers in March.
Agyekum was linked to French clubs Strasbourg and FC Nantes but chose to stay in Belgium.
