Officials from the National Security have visited Lakeside in the Adentan Municipality of the Greater Accra region following Sunday’s deadly flood, which claimed three lives and destroyed homes, shops, and personal belongings.
The officials, who toured the affected areas on Monday, May 19, said they were sent by the President to assess the damage and report back for urgent action.
Residents of Lakeside have blamed the engineers who constructed the East Legon Hills road for diverting all drains to one outlet, leading to the heavy flooding.
