Controversial evangelist Nana Agradaa has responded defiantly to the GH₵20 million defamation lawsuit filed against her by gospel singer Empress Gifty.
In a fiery video posted online, Agradaa dismissed the legal action, insisting that no lawsuit can bring her down.
She brushed off the claims and declared her readiness to face the case in court as many times as necessary.
“Go to court 100 or even 200 times, I don’t care. Every idiot can go to court. I’m dealing with classy people, so I don’t have time for banter. Your husband went on TV inciting people to attack and kill me, he left you at home to insult me, someone else’s wife. I’m not scared of your lawsuit,” she said boldly.
Agradaa, who calls herself the “Woman Trump,” warned that if taken to court over her statements, she would retaliate by suing Empress Gifty’s husband, Adorye, at an international court — and use any compensation from that suit to fight Empress Gifty’s claim.
She made it clear she would not be silenced or intimidated, arguing that it was hypocritical for Empress Gifty to seek legal action when it was her husband who allegedly provoked her.
According to Agradaa, her remarks were merely a response, not baseless attacks.
Meanwhile, Empress Gifty’s defamation suit accuses Agradaa of making false and damaging statements during a live broadcast. The suit claims Agradaa accused her of promiscuity, infidelity, and inappropriate relations with pastors.
The lawsuit states these allegations are false and have seriously harmed Empress Gifty’s reputation as a gospel artist and public figure.
Empress Gifty is demanding GH₵20 million in damages for reputational harm, emotional distress, and public ridicule.
