Economist Dr. John Gasti and Director at the Institute of Economic Affairs Dr. John Kwakye have been appointed as Advisors to the Governor of the Bank of Ghana Dr. Johnson Asiama.
Also appointed are Franklin Belyne, former Head of the Banking Supervision of the Bank of Ghana and Francis Kumah, former Ghana representative at the International Monetary Fund.
Gloria Quartey, former Head of Human Resources Department of the bank has also been maintained as an advisor to the Governor.
They are to support the Governor to make policy decisions for the central bank.
Governor Dr. Johnson Asiama gave details of these appointments at the Opening of the Monetary Policy Committee Meeting Wednesday.

Governor on Appointments
Speaking at the Monetary Policy Committee Meeting, the Governor noted that Professor John Gasti will help in the area of Non-Interest Banking at the Bank of Ghana.
Dr. Francis Kumah the Governor noted that “will bring his experience from his working at the IMF to support the Bank of Ghana.
