Dr. Hassan Ayariga, the Founder of the All People's Party (APC), has attributed the country's recent cedi gains to fiscal discipline and the implementation of strong economic policies by the government.
He said the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has demonstrated competence in governance, which, according to him, has resulted in the stabilisation of the Ghanaian cedi.
He noted that this milestone achievement has brought significant relief to importers, traders, businessmen, entrepreneurs, and consumers.
In light of this progress, the APC urges businessmen and women, especially those in the retail and wholesale sectors, to reflect this economic stability in their pricing.
Dr. Hassan Ayariga stated that it is both fair and necessary that the benefits of a stronger cedi translate into reduced prices of goods and services across the market.
"This is not only an act of patriotism but a demonstration of solidarity with the Ghanaian people who have endured economic hardships," he emphasised.
The Founder of APC indicated that reduced prices of goods and services will improve the standard of living, drive consumer demand, and further stimulate economic growth.
Dr. Hassan Ayariga, in addition, solicited the collaboration of policymakers, businesses, and consumers to build an economy that is strong, inclusive, and equitable.
