Johannesburg-born genre-bender CIZA is doing more than just redefining Afrobeats and Amapiano, he’s rewriting the data books, with the breakout success of his latest single and video, Isaka (6am), featuring Jazzworx and Thukuthela.
Released in early May 2025, ‘Isaka (6 am)’ has become a streaming juggernaut, amassing over 5.9 million Spotify streams to date, solidifying CIZA’s place as one of Africa’s most dynamic young artists.
At just 23, CIZA, born Nkululeko Nciza, has built a digital empire, with over 1.6 million monthly listeners on Spotify and a cumulative total of 10 million+ Spotify streams for his catalogue.
The Isaka track alone accounts for nearly 66% of his monthly streams, underscoring its runaway popularity and viral momentum on platforms like TikTok.
His social media growth reflects the rising tide with 213K TikTok followers (+901% growth YoY), 122K Instagram followers (+22% growth YoY) and 375K+ global social media audience
CIZA’s reach is primarily based in Africa (93.1%), with hotspots in South Africa, Nigeria, and Tanzania, but he’s also capturing attention abroad, in markets like the United Kingdom, Netherlands, and United States. Notably, Johannesburg alone accounts for over 20% of his current Spotify listeners, with strong support in Pretoria, Durban, and Cape Town.
Playlist exposure has been another pillar of his streaming ascent. CIZA's music features across 353 Spotify playlists, with a total reach of 15.3 million, including current placements on 189 active playlists.
