Npontu Technologies and Accra Technical University (ATU) have officially entered into a strategic partnership following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Tuesday, 9th July 2025, at Npontu’s head office in Accra.
The agreement marks a pivotal step toward strengthening collaboration between academia and industry, with a focus on equipping students from the Departments of Computer Science, Information Systems and Technology, and related disciplines with hands-on, real-world experience.
Through this partnership, students from ATU will gain access to internship placements during academic breaks, national service opportunities for final-year students, and participation in joint research, training, and consultancy initiatives. These practical experiences are intended to supplement academic instruction and prepare students to meet the demands of Ghana’s growing technology sector.

The event was attended by leadership from both institutions, along with faculty members, student representatives, and industry professionals. The partnership reflects a mutual commitment to developing industry-ready graduates and fostering a culture of innovation and problem-solving.

Npontu Technologies emphasized the importance of creating environments where students can apply classroom knowledge to real-life challenges, while ATU highlighted the value of integrating academic training with workplace exposure to produce graduates who are both theoretically sound and practically competent.
This collaboration is also expected to catalyze knowledge exchange between professionals and academic researchers, support staff capacity building, and encourage the development of technology-driven solutions relevant to national growth and development.

The MoU sets a strong foundation for long-term engagement between Npontu and ATU, paving the way for meaningful contributions to Ghana’s digital transformation journey.
