The Minister for Defence, Dr Edward Omane Boamah, is set to address the nation today, Monday, July 21, as part of the Government Accountability Series.
During his televised briefing, he will provide key updates on the current security landscape in Ghana.
Dr Omane Boamah’s address will focus on recent developments within the security sector, encompassing both internal challenges and external threats.

He will also present a detailed report on the performance of the Defence Ministry, outlining ongoing efforts to maintain national stability and bolster the operational readiness of the armed forces.
A significant portion of the briefing will be devoted to the protracted conflict in Bawku, with the Minister expected to detail recent government interventions and military operations aimed at restoring peace in that troubled region.
In addition, he will update the public on matters affecting the welfare of military personnel, including promotions, deployments, and overall support measures.
