Dr John Watson Otumfuor, the esteemed CEO of Mayfair Estate, has been crowned Ghana’s Most Outstanding CEO in Real Estate Development at the just-ended 4th Ghana CEO Awards held at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel in Accra.
This prestigious honour recognises Dr Otumfuor’s visionary leadership and consistent delivery of quality, affordable housing solutions across Ghana. His efforts have propelled Mayfair Estate to the forefront of the country’s real estate industry through strategic developments, including the landmark Jubilee Gardens Apartment project.
Founded in 2007, Mayfair Estate has emerged as a key player in Ghana’s real estate space. Under Dr Otumfuor’s leadership, the company has not only expanded its portfolio but also contributed significantly to national socio-economic development.

This year’s Ghana CEO Awards was held under the theme: “Mobilising Domestic and International Tourists and Investors Through CEOs.” The awards scheme is designed to celebrate outstanding corporate leaders who are shaping society through innovative ideas and transformative leadership.
Dr Otumfuor’s leadership style—rooted in innovation, customer-centric service, and operational excellence—has redefined real estate standards in Ghana.
