Real estate mogul and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Mayfair Estate Limited, Dr John Watson Otumfuo has been honoured for his outstanding contributions to building the real estate sector at the just-ended 8th edition of the Corporate Ghana Hall of Fame held on Friday, 30th August, 2024.
The esteemed recognition underscores his exceptional leadership and Mayfair's rapid ascent in Ghana's housing landscape.
Held at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra, the Corporate Ghana Hall of Fame awards ceremony celebrated Ghana's top businesses and individuals driving positive change in the country.
The event was attended by high-profile dignitaries, including; Emeritus Prof. Kwesi Yankah (A former Minister of State in charge of Tertiary Education), immediate past chairman of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), Ing. Dr Kwasi Abeasi, government representatives, members of the diplomatic corps, and traditional rulers.
The honours automatically induct him as a member of the "Corporate Ghana Hall of Fame”, which is the topmost corporate network platform in Ghana.
The ‘Hall of Fame’ initiative is an executive association comprising top CEOs and group chairs on one platform.
Dr Watson's direction has redefined professionalism with customer- centric approach and innovative service delivery at all times.

About Dr John Watson Otumfuor
Dr John Watson Otumfuor has worked with various Actuarial and Insurance companies in the United Kingdom before pursuing his dream in real estate.
After Setting up Mayfair Estates Ltd, Dr Watson relocated to Ghana in 2008. As an astute businessman, he has seen the growth of a start-up company in a monopolistic market to become one of the major players.
He has established various companies related to the Real estate industry and employs well over 500 workers.
He has a naturally shrewd business acumen and an ability to sell with a customer-first mindset. He loves what he does, whether it’s interacting with customers, or working closely with all categories of his workers.
He takes his social responsibility very seriously and believes that God’s blessings on his life should trickle down unto others and this has driven his philanthropy and social investments; projects that keep on giving.
A selection includes a twenty (2-bedroom self-contained) accommodation with a basketball court to house military police personnel at Okponglo behind the Tullow Oil building
Mayfair Block. Six (1-bedroom self-contained) accommodation at Headquarters Southern Command, Teshie in Accra.
Others include a frontage fence wall of Headquarters Southern Command in Teshie, the Otumfuo Junior Rank Mess at Base Workshop. Burma Camp, J W Otumfuo ICT LAB a 60-seater ICT and a Basket & Volleyball court for students at Services Primary & Junior High School in Burma Camp.
The rest are ten (1-bedroom self-contained) accommodation at Recce Regiment Burma Camp, 15 Self-contained accommodation for Ghana Armed Forces military police personnel, a 20-room Hotel accommodation transit quarters for the Ghana Armed Forces, a mess and event centre for the Ghana Military Police and a 5 bedroom self-contained block for the army.
