Ghanaian gospel artiste Yvonne Asamoah-Tawiah, popularly known as Minister Yvonne, celebrated her birthday on 9th August 2025 with a colourful cultural display and reflections on her musical journey.
The UK-based singer wore regal Kente attire, known locally as adosoa, symbolising her rich Ghanaian heritage.
Minister Yvonne has, in just four years, risen to become one of the most successful gospel musicians in the Ghanaian diaspora.
Her distinct sound and hit songs have earned her multiple honours, including the 2021 Ghana Music Awards UK Gospel Artiste of the Year. She also became the first Ghanaian to feature on the BBC Music Introducing platform.
Her ministry is recognised for powerful vocals, world-class music videos and engaging live performances that have attracted audiences worldwide.

Her 2022 album, FAITH, features eight inspirational tracks such as Heal The Land, Hyebre Sesafo and Abundance of Grace.

Through her YAT Ministries Foundation, Minister Yvonne has supported orphanages in both Ghana and the UK with cash donations and essential supplies. Her songs, carrying messages of healing, hope and encouragement, have repeatedly topped the UK Gospel Music Chart.

Her accolades include Best International Video of the Year from WWGMVA UK for Besuka in 2020, and the Excellence Song Writer award from Maratha USA Awards in 2022.
As she marked her birthday, fans and well-wishers expressed gratitude for her life and impact in music and ministry.
