Ghana international Ibrahim Sadiq opened his scoring account for the season over the weekend during AZ Alkmaar's league game against Volendam.
Sadiq, who handed a starting berth against Volendam following the departure of Ernest Poku to Bayer Leverkusen.
The Ghanaian grabbed the opportunity with open hands as he scored in the 2-2 stalemate on the road.
Volendam opened the scoring in the game after only seven minutes through Aurelio Oehlers, before Sadiq levelled the score for AZ.
Troy Parrot gave AZ the lead just minutes after the recess, but their celebrations were short-lived as the home side also drew level in the 65th minute.
Despite their late attempts, AZ were only able to get a point from the game as the fixture ended 2-2 in their second Eredivisie game of the 2025/26 season.
For Sadiq, it was his first goal involvement in the league this season.
