High-flying Ghanaian artiste, Black Sherif, born Mohammed Ismail Sharrif, continues to make history with his debut album, Iron Boy, with its record-breaking streak on digital streaming platforms since its debut on Thursday, April 3, 2025.
The album, since its inception, has occupied top spots on both the Apple Music Ghana Top Album and Apple Music Top 100 Ghana charts, respectively, with standout track Sacrifice currently occupying the #1 spot on the Top 100 songs chart.
In addition to his Apple Music feat, Iron Boy also shattered records on Spotify, debuting at #6 on the Spotify Top Debut Albums UK chart and #10 on the Billboard World Albums Chart.
Iron Boy holds the record for the most-streamed Ghanaian album in a single day, racking up over 2 million streams within 24 hours of release.
The Sacrifice crooner secured a nomination at the 2025 BET Awards, earning a coveted spot in the Best International Act category.
The 23-year-old has also been nominated for Best Male West Africa, Songwriter of the Year, Best African Act Reggae & Dancehall, and Best African Video of the Year at the African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA 2025).
These accolades highlight not only his immense talent but also the growing influence of African music on the global stage.
