Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu, President and Founder of the Afro-Arab Group of Companies, has been recognised at this year’s National Business Honours.
The ceremony, held on Friday, August 29, 2025, at the Marriott Hotel in Accra, saw the entrepreneur and his flagship real estate subsidiary, Afro-Arab Properties, decorated with two of the most prestigious awards of the night.
Ambassador Amadu received the Ultimate Innovation in Affordable Housing Award, while Afro-Arab Properties was celebrated with the Real Estate Innovation Award for its groundbreaking contributions to the housing sector.
The National Business Honours, regarded as one of Ghana’s platforms for celebrating excellence, attracted key players across industries. At the event, Afro-Arab Properties that stood out as the name redefining real estate in Ghana.
Over the past few years, Afro-Arab Properties has carved a solid reputation for combining affordability with innovation. One of its most applauded initiatives is its interest-free five-year housing payment plan, a rare model in Ghana’s property market.
This policy gives working families and individuals the chance to own homes without the crushing burden of interest rates, setting a new standard in the industry.
Reacting to the recognition, Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu expressed heartfelt appreciation to the organizers, his team, and most importantly, to God.
“I am very honored to be awarded the Ultimate Innovation in Affordable Housing. This recognition means everything we do as a company is being noticed by many out there. I thank Almighty Allah for bringing Afro-Arab Properties this far,” he said.
He also used the moment to reassure Ghanaians of the company’s unwavering commitment to bridging the nation’s housing deficit.
