The Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA) has welcomed the reassignment of the Acting Director-General of the National Service Authority (NSA), Felix Gyamfi, describing it as a necessary step towards reform.
Speaking in an interview with Citi FM on Monday, September 8the Executive Director of MFWA, Sulemana Braimah, said he was unsurprised by the development given the challenges that had emerged under Gyamfi’s leadership.
“I think that it is not surprising given the kinds of developments that were happening,” he remarked.
According to Mr Braimah, the situation at the Authority had reached a point where immediate changes were unavoidable.
“Any leader who wanted to see proper reforms happening at the NSS would have been tempted to make the same decision, so I am not surprised,” he added.
Mr Gyamfi, who was appointed to head the NSA in January 2025, was reassigned to the Ministry of Finance on Monday.
