The Paramount Chief of the Yoo Traditional Area in the Northern Region, Yoo Naa Andani Yakubu Abdulai, has paid a courtesy call on the Acting Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Mr Godwin Kudzo Tameklo.
The visit, which took place on Wednesday, was aimed at congratulating Mr Tameklo on his appointment and acknowledging his efforts in steering Ghana’s downstream petroleum sector in recent months.
In his remarks, Yoo Naa Andani Yakubu Abdulai commended President John Dramani Mahama for what he described as a timely and thoughtful appointment.

He noted that Mr Tameklo had demonstrated the kind of leadership and vision required to guide the NPA at a crucial juncture in the nation’s energy industry.
The Paramount Chief further praised the Authority’s recent strides in maintaining stability and ensuring transparency within the petroleum distribution chain.

He emphasised that strong leadership in such a strategic sector was vital to both economic growth and national cohesion.
Mr Tameklo, in his response, expressed gratitude to Yoo Naa Andani Yakubu Abdulai for the honour of the visit and his words of encouragement.

He acknowledged the Chief’s longstanding contributions to peace and development in the Northern Region and assured that under his stewardship, the NPA would continue to pursue policies that advance stability and serve the broader national interest.
