New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer hopeful and former Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, has expressed confidence in his vision to transform Ghana after successfully appearing before the party’s vetting committee.
Speaking to journalists after the session, the Bosomtwe legislator highlighted his ambition to drive inclusive development across the country, stressing that his leadership would focus on fighting poverty.
“I shared my views with them [vetting committee] on how we can transform Ghana from Azim to Zabzugu. Help is on the way. We will fight the war against poverty, and we’ll win it.
"We’ll create a better nation than we’ve ever anticipated. That’s what I shared with them, and today I’m excited that this process is over,” he added.
The former Education Minister described the vetting process as smooth and constructive, noting that it allowed him to outline his policy direction and leadership plans.
“The process went very well. The vetting committee members were great. I felt very welcome at the beginning and had the opportunity to respond to various questions,” Dr. Adutwum said.
Dr. Adutwum is among the five aspirants seeking to lead the NPP into the 2028 general elections.
