The EYW Impact Football Gala kicks off from Thursday, 25th September to Monday, 29th September 2025, at the Methodist Astro Turf in Betom, Koforidua.
Organized by EYW Impact, the event is the brainchild of Eric Yeboah Wadie, Deputy Director-General at the National Lottery Authority, whose passion for youth empowerment and community development continues to inspire local initiatives.
The Gala will bring together nine vibrant football teams from across the region, including Oguaa, Betom, Anlo Town, Srodae, Zongo, Nsukwao, Bonya and Trom.
With teams representing different communities, the event is designed not only to showcase football talent but to foster unity, discipline, and youth engagement. In a time when sports has become a unifying force globally, initiatives like this serve as crucial platforms for nurturing grassroots talent.
“This tournament is not just about football; it’s about hope, empowerment, and building community spirit,” said Mr. Wadie in a recent statement.
“We’re using sports as a tool to create impact, inspire the youth, and offer them opportunities for growth.”
Participants won’t be leaving empty-handed. The Gala promises attractive winning packages, celebrating both performance and participation. Whether you're on the pitch or cheering from the sidelines, there's something in it for everyone.
