More than 180 participants, predominantly women, have successfully completed a two-day intensive training under the Business in a Box (BizBox) Project, a strategic initiative by the Mastercard Foundation in partnership with the Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA), aimed at accelerating the growth of women-led businesses in the Anloga District.
Held at the Anloga District Assembly, the training formed part of the MSME Business Acceleration (MBA) component of the BizBox Project. The MBA component is focused on promoting the growth of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through targeted capacity-building initiatives, with a strong emphasis on empowering women through Kaizen training, market access support, and regulatory guidance.
Participants took part in practical and interactive sessions, including Generate Your Business (GYB) modules, Kaizen methodology, digital marketing skills, and financial literacy. In addition, they received coaching and mentorship to strengthen their entrepreneurial abilities and position their businesses for sustainable growth.

Addressing participants at the close of the training, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Anloga, Hon. Sandra Seyram Kpedor, encouraged them to apply the lessons learned to improve their businesses.
“I urge all of you to take the lessons shared by the resource persons seriously and apply them diligently in your businesses. This is your pathway to sustainable livelihood empowerment,” she said.
The DCE also commended the Mastercard Foundation and the GEA for their continuous investment in local entrepreneurship and reaffirmed the Assembly's commitment to supporting initiatives that uplift women and youth in the district.
The BizBox Project continues to act as a catalyst for inclusive economic empowerment, equipping the next generation of entrepreneurs with the skills, tools, and networks they need to succeed.
