The Ghana Music Awards USA (GMA-USA) has honoured the Founder of Reign House Chapel, Prophet Eric Boahen Uche, for his immense contribution to the growth of Ghana’s music industry.
The presentation was made on Sunday, 12th October 2025, during a church service, by Mr. Dennis Boafo, Chief Executive Officer of GMA-USA, who is affectionately called Don.
Presenting the citation, Mr Boafo praised Prophet Boahen for being a strong pillar of support to different sections of Ghana’s music ecosystem. He said the Prophet’s consistent encouragement and financial backing have kept many gospel artistes active despite challenges in the industry.
“This is in recognition of remarkable contribution to the gospel music industry in Ghana and beyond,” Mr Boafo said.
He disclosed that Prophet Boahen played a significant role in supporting this year’s edition of the awards, a gesture he said could not go unnoticed.
A visibly moved Prophet Eric Boahen expressed his gratitude to the organisers, describing the honour as an inspiration to do more. He said the recognition would motivate him and others to continue supporting initiatives that project Ghanaian music internationally.
He also urged the GMA-USA team to work diligently to promote Ghanaian music in the diaspora and to create more opportunities for both emerging and established artistes.
Aside from his ministry, Prophet Boahen has been a known patron of gospel events and a long-time supporter of young musicians. His involvement in this year’s GMA-USA adds to the growing recognition of individuals who bridge the gap between faith and the creative arts.
