Ghanaian students in China have honoured Ambassador Kojo Bonsu with the title ‘Gen Z President’, conferred by the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) in China.
The recognition celebrates his tireless efforts in supporting and empowering Ghanaian students across various Chinese provinces.
Speaking during a virtual Akwaaba Night ceremony, Ambassador Bonsu reaffirmed President John Mahama’s unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of Ghanaian students abroad.
He urged them to leverage their education and experiences to contribute meaningfully to national development, stressing the importance of innovation and proactive problem-solving.
The students commended the Ambassador’s open-door policy, which encourages them to reach out to the Embassy for assistance and guidance.
Ambassador Bonsu also outlined plans to strengthen ties with the Ghanaian student community by introducing initiatives that track their progress, organising annual networking events, and addressing emerging challenges.
Visibly excited, the student leaders expressed gratitude for the Ambassador’s dedication and accessibility, describing him as a true advocate for youth empowerment.
The ‘Gen Z President’ title, they said, reflects Ambassador Bonsu’s forward-looking leadership and his vision of nurturing young Ghanaians to become catalysts for the country’s transformation.
