The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has arrested a candidate for submitting forged documents during the ongoing recruitment screening at El-Wak Sports Stadium in Accra.
According to GAF officials, the suspect’s papers were flagged by specialists deployed onsite to verify credentials.
The forgery was detected immediately, leading to his swift arrest to prevent “fraudsters infiltrating the military.”
The suspect has been handed over to security authorities for further investigation and processing.
Colonel Evelyn Asamoah, Director of Protocol, confirmed the arrest and assured that the verification system is designed to eliminate impostors and safeguard the integrity of the recruitment process.
Apart from this case, GAF officers report that screening activities have resumed smoothly following the tragic November 12 stampede that claimed six lives and temporarily halted the exercise.
