Ace journalist, media personality, women’s rights advocate, and philanthropist Oheneyere Gifty Anti has officially been enstooled as the Mpuntuhemaa (Development Queenmother) of Ekumfi Nanaben in the Central Region.
The ceremony took place on Saturday, November 29, marking her formal induction into traditional leadership under the stool name Nana Efua Dansoa Nkuma I.
The enstoolment, performed by the Paramount Chief of Ekumfi, Odeefuo Akyin VIII, and the Chief of Ekumfi Nanaben, Nana Okofo Gyesi V, affirmed the community’s recognition of her longstanding commitment to national development, women’s empowerment, and philanthropy.

Nana Efua Dansoa Nkuma I expressed profound gratitude for the honour and pledged to dedicate her new role to advancing development priorities within Ekumfi Nanaben while continuing her advocacy and charitable work across Ghana.
“I am deeply humbled by this honour. My commitment to supporting deprived communities and championing development across Ghana remains unchanged,” she said.

Although not originally from Ekumfi Nanaben, the chiefs and elders noted that her demonstrated impact and service to society made her deserving of the distinguished role.

The enstoolment formed part of the colourful climax of the community’s annual Aboakyer Festival, attracting residents, dignitaries, and supporters who gathered to celebrate her new chapter in leadership.
