Police in Kasoa have arrested three men accused of sexually abusing their own daughters, following a formal complaint lodged by the Awutu Senya East Municipal Education Directorate.
According to officials from the directorate, the girls disclosed their experiences to the Girl-Child and Guidance and Counselling coordinators, prompting immediate action.
The directorate noted with concern that reports of child protection violations are becoming increasingly frequent within the municipality.
The Ghana Police Service confirmed that all three fathers were picked up shortly after the complaint was filed and are cooperating with investigators as the case proceeds.
Education authorities in the municipality have renewed calls for stronger collaboration among institutions to safeguard children, stressing that the situation highlights persistent vulnerabilities faced by young people in the area.
They also raised concerns over the absence of a Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) office in Awutu Senya East, despite the commission having a wide presence nationwide. Officials say the gap limits timely access to support services for victims and families.
